Alright, now, once I obtain the Mx-6, I don't want it going through the winter. The body has virtually no rust, but I don't want it rotting away, as Mazdas are prone to premature rot. In the engine bay, there is salt corrosion, and it is all dirty in there, but it looks purely cosmetic.
So, I'm looking at either a mid 90's Saturn, or maybe a Toyota of the same vintage. maybe a small truck, like a Blazer/S10 or a ranger.
The requirements are
fairly rust-resistant : I don't want another rustbox that would collapse on itself on my hands.
Low Maintenance : I can forgo the bells and whistles, so less problems may occur.
Easy to drive in snow : getting out of deep snow is a prerequisite.
Working heat! : of course, I want to be toasty in this weather.
So, suggestions, Fire away.

As odd as it sounds, If you can find a decently maintained non turbo first gen Saab 900, you're gucci. Better in the snow than most 4wd vehicles, rust resistant as shit, standard heated drivers seat (yes, on every single one), although they've started to rise in price.

Not all Mazdas are prone to rust. They had a pretty bad phase in the late 90's and early 2000's, like 98-2005 or so. Cars from before that era are at least average.

that's true, especially when manufacturers want to cut costs, and put paper thin metals on their cars.

Its a winter beater. There is no way to stop the rust. Trust me i know. Just buy something cheap. My first winter beater was a 99 escort 5sp, Then i moved onto a 2001 escort zx2, and i just bought a 97 f150 for my next beater. Buy something cheap and stop worrying about rust cause u cant stop it. Also all cars purchased totaled less than $2500 total purchase price.
